...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
  between 6 and 15 inches. Localized storm total snowfall amounts
  around 20 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida
  Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Friday evening commute and Saturday morning
  travel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 2.5 inches per hour are
  expected in the heaviest lake effect snow band this afternoon and
  evening. The highest snowfall totals are expected to occur along
  the I-90, I-690 and I-481 corridor in Onondaga county and along
  and south of I-90 in Madison and Oneida counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Localized higher of amounts up to 8 inches
  possible across far northwestern Otsego county.

* WHERE...Steuben County.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest snowfall totals are expected over
  portions of western and southern Steuben county. Localized snow
  totals up around 8 inches will be possible in the higher
  elevations of the southwestern Steuben county.
