This wave will bring rain chances across northern and central half of North Dakota today. Rain accumulations are forecast to be light. This wave will also bring increasing cloud cover across the area. High temperatures are forecast to drop down into the mid 40s to mid 50s as a weak cold front moves through the area with increasing cloud cover. A cold frontal passage will likely lead to windy conditions across the western half of the state during the afternoon. Upper level broad troughing across the Hudson Bay into the Northern Plains will persist into the weekend leading to lingering cold airmass across the state. High temperatures Friday will range from the upper 20s in the northeast to the upper 40s in the southwest. This colder air will remain trapped through the weekend keeping temperatures below normal.
