.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will move southeast through the state today brining
isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Southwest winds
will shift northwest to north with the frontal passage with winds
behind the cold front generally 10 to 20 mph with a few gust to
around 25 mph this afternoon. Minimum relative humidities this
afternoon will range from around 30 percent south and west of the
Missouri River, to 40 to 50 percent north and east of the river.
High pressure will build over the area tonight through Tuesday.
Cooler temperatures Tuesday will keep minimum afternoon humidities
above 35 percent, with generally light winds across the area.
High pressure moves east Wednesday with winds becoming southerly,
but remaining light. Afternoon minimum humidities may approach 30
percent in the southwest, but will generally remain 35 to 50
percent across the area. Hit and miss low to medium chances for
showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast Tuesday and
Wednesday.
Temperatures warm on Thursday and into the weekend, with only low
chances for thunderstorms Thursday through Saturday. Minimum
afternoon humidities will be lowest over southwestn North Dakota,
where readings may drop into the 20s each afternoon, with
afternoon humidities of 35 to 45 percent elsewhere.
