.DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are possible this
afternoon and early evening before clearing overnight tonight. A
few showers are also possible Tuesday, especially in the north,
otherwise mostly dry conditions are then expected through the
remainder of the workweek. Strong westerly winds are will develop
later tonight and through the day Tuesday, especially north of
I94. While winds won`t be quite as strong in the far southwest,
minimum relative humidity values of around 25 to 30 percent could
result in critical fire weather conditions Tuesday, though
uncertainty remains. Either way, even if critical fire weather
conditions don`t develop, near critical conditions will in both
the southwest and south central Tuesday afternoon. Thursday
shouldn`t be as windy as Tuesday. However, much drier conditions
are forecast with relative humidity values dropping into the teens
over much of southwestern North Dakota. This could lead to
critical fire weather conditions again for much of the southwest.
