.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will stall over southern areas of the state this
afternoon and evening, and will result in isolated to scattered
showers and thunderstorms. Winds will remain out of the
west/northwest at around 10 to 20 mph with a few gust near 25
during the day. Minimum relative humidities this afternoon will
range from 25 to around 30 percent south and west of the Missouri
River, to 40 to 50 percent north and east of the river.

High pressure will build over the area tonight into Tuesday, and
will result in cooler temperatures, minimum afternoon humidities
on Tuesday aft above 30 percent, and generally light winds across
the area.

High pressure develops east Wednesday with winds becoming
southerly, but remaining light. Afternoon minimum humidities will
drop down into the 20s percent in the southwest, but will
generally remain 35 to 50 percent elsewhere. There is also a
slight chances for a shower or thunderstorm during the day
Wednesday.

The remainder of the week will see temperatures peaking on
Thursday, then trending slightly cooler into the first half of the
weekend. The weather also is forecast to remain mainly dry, with
shower and thunderstorm chances returning Saturday night into
Sunday. Minimum afternoon humidities will be lowest over
southwestern North Dakota, where forecast values are expected to
drop into the 20s each afternoon, lowest on Thursday when RH
values in the upper teens are possible southwest.
