(This evening through Saturday) Issued at 1232 PM CDT FRI OCT 10 2025 GOES TPW imagery this afternoon reveals a swath of much drier air spreading across the region. As a result, a pleasant afternoon is underway with temps currently in the mid to upper 70s. Highs today will only warm up a few more degrees with those in our SW areas seeing the low 80s today. Another cool night is in store with lows dropping into the low to mid 50s. A ridge to our west will begin to shift our way over the next couple days so we can expect a dry forecast to continue due to little moisture and increased subsidence. 95/Castillo && .LONG TERM... (Saturday night through next Thursday) Issued at 1232 PM CDT FRI OCT 10 2025 Upper level ridging builds in over the weekend as an upper trough is pushed towards the east coast. This will promote continued warm and dry conditions through much of the long term forecast. Temperatures will quickly warm back up with highs rebounding back into the mid 80s by mid week. 95/Castillo && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 607 PM CDT FRI OCT 10 2025 VFR conditions to persist. Winds will likely pick back up at AUO and MGM during the late morning hours Saturday. 16 && .FIRE WEATHER... Warm and dry conditions are expected to continue over the next week. MinRHs will likely fall into the 30-40% range each afternoon. However, winds will remain on the lighter side. There are no immediate fire weather concerns over the weekend as our Significant Fire Potential remains low.
