...NWS Damage Survey for 11/25/25 Tornado Event...

.Overview...A bowing line segment moved across the northern half
of Central Alabama during the early morning hours of November 25.
Despite meager surface-based instability, favorable dynamics were
able to compensate, resulting in a swath of damaging wind gusts.
In addition, two embedded QLCS tornadoes formed within the line in
northern Jefferson County. Additional storms later that afternoon
caused a couple instances of damaging winds and hail.

of Highway 269 and Flat Top Road. It continued eastward crossing
Flat Top Road, Alexander Road, and County Road 45 near the Miller
Steam Plant. It continued eastward across Interstate 22, with the
most concentrated tree damage occurring as it crossed Highway 5
near Graysville. Damage primarily consisted of a narrow path of
downed trees. A couple outbuildings were also damaged. The tornado
dissipated after crossing Lynns Crossing Road. After this,
sporadic tree damage continued over a broader area, which was more
indicative of straight line winds, prior to a subsequent tornado
in Mt. Olive. Special thanks to Jefferson County EMA for their
assistance with this survey.

Survey Summary:
Sporadic wind damage continued as the bowing segment from the
Graysville tornado paralleled Brookside Road, followed by very
little damage in the neighborhood right along Cane Creek. A new
tornado quickly developed along Swann Road in Mt Olive, snapping a
few trees and uprooting numerous trees along Posey Circle, McCravy
Lane, Belcher Lane, Pebble Lane, and adjacent areas. Some of these
trees fell on homes, causing major damage. Shingle damage to homes
and damage to fascia material at a service station were also
observed. While trees were primarily blown down facing downstream,
one fence was blown down facing upstream. The tornado continued
to down trees along Hannah Drive, before quickly dissipating as it
crossed Interstate 65. Special thanks to Jefferson County EMA for
their assistance with this survey.
