.SHORT TERM /Through Wednesday Night/...

A ridge of high pressure will move overhead today as yesterday`s
low pressure system moves east. Patchy fog and low clouds will
decrease this morning with mostly sunny skies this afternoon.
Breezy west to northwest winds east of Boise through the Magic
Valley will subside through the day. Highs today will warm
several degrees in the higher elevations while remaining similar
to yesterday in the valleys. A low pressure system will
approach the area on Tuesday, bringing high clouds and breezy
east to southeast winds. Gusts 20-35 mph will develop across
the Snake Basin. Highs will increase a few degrees ahead of the
low. The low center will move across northern Nevada and weaken
Tuesday night, resulting in only a slight (10-20%) chance of
showers along the Nevada border. A weak ridge of high pressure
will move back overhead on Wednesday with lighter winds,
similar temperatures, and dry conditions.

.LONG TERM /Thursday through Monday/...

A pair of weak upper level troughs will move through on Thursday
and Friday, bringing a 10-30% chance of showers to northern
areas. Temperatures will be near normal with light winds. An
upper level ridge will build in over the weekend, with
temperatures warming to around 5 degrees above normal by Sunday.
Another upper level trough will approach the Pacific Northwest
on Monday, ushering in a 5-15% chance of showers by Monday
night. Temperatures will be similar on Monday with breezier
conditions Sunday and Monday as the system approaches.

Mainly VFR. IFR/MVFR stratus this morning in the Magic Valley
and patchy fog in mountain valleys will clear by early
afternoon. Otherwise mostly clear today with high clouds
increasing tonight. LLWS developing early tomorrow morning from
KMUO to KONO. Surface winds: variable less than 10 kt, except
W-NW 5-15 kt through the Snake Plain and gusts 20-30 kt east of
KBOI, subsiding this afternoon. Winds becoming E-SE 5-15 kt
tonight. Winds aloft at 10kft MSL: N-NW 10-25 kt, becoming SE-
SW 10-20 kt after Tue/00Z.

KBOI...VFR under mostly clear skies. Low clouds along the
foothills will clear by late morning. LLWS developing early
tomorrow morning. Surface winds: NW 6-12 kt, becoming SE 6-12
kt tonight.
