.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Saturday night...A gradual cooling
and moistening trend will continue through the weekend as the
near-stationary upper ridge weakens over the interior western US
and monsoonal moisture moves across the area. Isolated showers
and thunderstorms this afternoon, mainly near the Nevada border
and central Idaho mountains. A Pacific short wave trough then
extends inland from the west, with afternoon showers and
thunderstorms increasing to scattered on Friday over southeast
Oregon and expanding throughout the region on Saturday. Showers
and storms may produce outflow winds up to 45 mph in the
afternoons through Saturday.

.LONG TERM...Sunday through Thursday...Drying and cooling Sunday
behind Saturday`s exiting short wave trough.  Dry and increasingly
windy Monday as southerly flow increases ahead of the approaching
main Pacific upper low.  Temperatures holding level from Sunday with
the warmer southerly flow offset by lowering heights.  Cooling
Tuesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly on the
Oregon side as the upper low comes inland.  Latest models keep the
low over OR Wednesday and Thursday, limiting further cooling on the
Idaho side and keeping the higher PoPs on the Oregon side.

.AVIATION...VFR. Smoke Layers aloft through 20kft MSL. High density
altitude this afternoon due to hot temps. A 10-20% chance of showers
and  thunderstorms in Oregon and far SW-Idaho until Tue/03Z. Surface
Winds: variable less than 10 kt.  Winds aloft at 10kft MSL: NW 10-15
kt.

KBOI...VFR. Smoke layers aloft. High density altitude this afternoon
due to hot temps. Surface winds: NW 10-15 kt until 05/00Z then
light and variable.

Weekend Outlook...Areas of smoke. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms Saturday. Drier Sunday. Breezy winds during the
afternoons.
