...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TODAY NEAR THE NEVADA BORDER...
.DISCUSSION...
Isolated thunderstorms will develop this afternoon near the Nevada
border. Gusty outflows to 40 mph with little rain can be expected with
storms. Otherwise, hot and dry conditions will continue today under the
influence of a strong upper level ridge. There will continue to be a slight
chance of thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday, mainly across southeast
Oregon. Temperatures will gradually trend down the second half of the
week as the upper ridge shifts a little further east. Monsoon moisture
will increase Friday into the weekend as a trough approaches the coast
and the upper ridge remains over the northern Rockies.
