Very hot and dry conditions across the region will continue
through the end of the work week. The threat of isolated afternoon
and evening thunderstorms will continue across southeast Oregon
through Thursday, especially near the Nevada border. Gusty outflow
winds to 40 mph and little rain can be expected with storms.
Increasing monsoon moisture will bring a better chance of showers
and thunderstorms to southeast Oregon and far southwest Idaho
Friday, with the chance of showers and thunderstorms increasing
and spreading across the entire forecast area on Saturday. Cooler
and unsettled weather is expected Sunday through Tuesday of next
week.
