warm and dry today with breezy westerly winds picking up this
afternoon. Peak wind gusts will generally be 25 to 35 in the
high desert, with gusts up to 40 mph possible on ridgetops.
Scattered light rain/virga will accompany the frontal passage
tonight. Behind the front, 25 mph wind gusts remain while
temperatures drop about 20 degrees from Saturday. A warming and
drying trend begins Monday through the week.
* Southwest Idaho Forest (ID Zones 401, 402, 403, 421)... Mostly
warm and dry today with breezy westerly winds picking up this
afternoon. Peak wind gusts will generally be 25 mph in
mountains. Scattered light rain and isolated thunderstorms will
accompany the frontal passage tonight. Behind the front, 25 mph
wind gusts remain while temperatures drop about 20 degrees from
Saturday. Precipitation chances taper off Sunday evening. A
warming and drying trend begins Monday through the week.
