High pressure overhead today, bringing sunny skies and light
winds. The ridge will also suppress vertical mixing, leading to
poor ventilation with light transport winds out of the east. A low
pressure system will move across Nevada Tuesday, bringing cloudy
skies and a wind shift to the northeast tonight through early
Tuesday. However, wind speeds will remain light. Cool temperatures
will keep afternoon humidities somewhat elevated with good to
moderate overnight recoveries. Low pressure system will do little
to improve mixing Tuesday or Wednesday. Weak systems moving to the
north late week will bring a 10-20% chance of showers, otherwise
dry conditions are expected through the week.
