...DRY WITH POOR VENTILATION THIS WEEK...
.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will remain overhead today while a low pressure
system moves east into northern Nevada tonight. Winds will be out
of the east to southeast this morning with a slight breeze on
ridgelines, then decrease and switch to the west to southwest by
mid afternoon. The ridge will also suppress vertical mixing,
leading to poor ventilation. Clouds will move overhead through the
day ahead of the low pressure system, but showers should remain
to the south. High pressure will reestablish on Wednesday with
overall similar conditions to today. Cool temperatures will keep
afternoon humidities somewhat elevated with good to moderate
overnight recoveries. A weak system on Thursday will bring a 30%
chance of a rain/snow mix.
