...POSSIBLE STRONG OUTFLOW GUSTS THIS EVENING...
.DISCUSSION...
Peak outflow strength out of showers this evening have shifted
down to 30 to 50 mph, but strongest gusts will still occur along
ridges and N-S valleys. Best time of arrival is still 1900 to 2200
LT. Winds mostly calm overnight, but isolated showers could form
through early Saturday morning, capable of producing strong wind
gusts. A cold front tomorrow drops temperatures about 10 degrees
from Friday and brings an increased chance of thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms Saturday evening could produce heavy rainfall,
abundant lightning, and outflow winds 35 to 45 mph. A Red Flag
Warning was issued to cover the lightning and outflow gusts
tomorrow. Storm coverage will be more isolated, but each storm
should be in an environment for efficient lightning production.
Following the front on Sunday, sustained winds increase to 15 mph
with gusts up to 25 mph while minimum RHs are still 15 to 20% each
afternoon.
