...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL MALHEUR COUNTY
THROUGH 500 PM PDT...

At 420 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Harper, or 35 miles west of Ontario, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor
         damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Westfall, Harper, Brogan, Brosman Mountain, Sugarloaf Butte,
Jamieson, Bully Creek Reservoir, and Buckbrush Poison Butte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
