...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of central, east central,
and northeast Colorado, including the following areas, in central
Colorado, Jefferson and West Douglas Counties Above 6000
Feet/Gilpin/Clear Creek/Northeast Park Counties Below 9000 Feet. In
east central Colorado, North and Northeast Elbert County Below 6000
Feet/North Lincoln County. In northeast Colorado, Elbert/Central and
East Douglas Counties Above 6000 Feet.

Rainfall forecasts have decreased in the area, meaning that flooding
is no longer expected to pose a threat.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Far southeastern Elbert and southern Lincoln county.

* WHEN...From midnight MDT tonight through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A surge of tropical moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Polo
    and a storm system will bring a threat of flooding late tonight
    through Thursday morning. Periods of heavy rainfall may lead to
    totals of 1 to 2.5 inches in the watch area, with locally higher
    amounts possible.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
