The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...
  Northeastern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado...

* Until 1030 PM MDT.

* At 733 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches,
           roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Eastern Centennial, eastern Highlands Ranch, northern Castle Rock,
  Parker, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, The Pinery,
  Foxfield and Cherry Creek Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause flash flooding of small
creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas
and other low lying spots.
