...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES FLOOD ADVISORY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...Cherry Creek in Denver to the confluence with the South
  Platte River.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 436 PM MDT, Stream gauge reports indicated rapid rises on
    Cherry Creek through Denver. Flooding is occurring along wallking
    and biking paths, and minor overbank flooding is now expected.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cherry Creek in Denver County down to the confluence with the
    South Platte River.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
