.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Wednesday...
Hot weather will persist during the afternoon and early evening
hours. In conjunction with breezy southeast winds and continued
drying fuels, fire weather conditions will remain elevated.
However, critical conditions won`t be met as minimum humidities
stay above thresholds and closer to 18-28% over the breezier
plains. Meanwhile, winds will be lighter in the drier high
mountain valleys where humidities dip under 15%. Isolated to
scattered afternoon storms will occur over the higher terrain,
moreso on Wednesday, with a couple dry thunderstorms with non-
wetting rains possible.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...
Very similar weather conditions will persist each day through
Saturday with above normal temperatures and dry conditions. Breezy
southeast winds will occur across the plains, while lighter winds
prevail in the mountains. Minimum humidity readings will drop into
the 17-28% range each day, with the driest conditions along the
I-25 Corridor and in the high mountain valleys. An isolated dry
thunderstorm or two is possible each day in the mountains.
Monsoonal moisture is expected to slowly increase toward Sunday
with an increasing chance of storms with wetting rainfall.
Initially, the highest coverage will occur in the mountains but
that may shift to the Front Range Foothills and I-25 Urban
Corridor early next week.
