.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Wednesday...Monsoon moisture
across the region will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms
through the rest of this afternoon and into tonight. Locally
heavy rainfall will be possible, especially across the eastern
plains later this afternoon and evening. Good to excellent
humidity recovery is likely tonight. Similar conditions are
forecast tomorrow, with scattered showers and thunderstorms
developing by late morning or early afternoon.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...A warming
and drying pattern is likely late this week into the weekend as a
large ridge develops near the Four Corners. Though relative
humidity may eventually approach critical thresholds, winds are
expected to remain weak enough near this ridge to limit the
chances of any critical fire weather conditions.
