.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Numerous showers and
thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and move east through
the evening, some with locally heavy rainfall. Temperatures will
be near or just above normal, but humidity readings will be
elevated due to high atmospheric moisture content. Winds outside
of showers and storms will be relatively light and follow normal
diurnal wind patterns.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...
Wednesday looks like a repeat of today with scattered to numerous
showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening hours. The
airmass will then gradually dry Thursday into the weekend with
diminishing thunderstorm coverage each day. Hotter temperatures
will arrive again by Saturday and especially Sunday with lower
humidity. However, winds are expected to be relatively light in
all areas as a ridge of high pressure amplifies across the
forecast area.
