.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Thursday...
A cold front is expected to bring dry and breezy conditions to the
northeastern plains this afternoon. Elevated fire weather conditions
are expected behind the front, with RH values of 10-20% and wind
gusts of about 25-35 mph expected. Dry conditions with light winds
expected for most of the rest of the forecast period. Tuesday could
see some isolated showers (20-30% chance) over the higher terrain,
with the highest chances over northern Park County and southern
Clear Creek County.
Good to very good smoke dispersal expected across the area today and
most afternoons throughout the forecast period. Sunday is the
exception, with poor to fair smoke dispersal expected for the urban
corridor and good smoke dispersal for the mountains and plains.
