Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
303 PM MDT Wed Jun 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...There is a chance of showers
and a few thunderstorms across the plains overnight tonight.
Warmer conditions are expected for tomorrow, but with increasing
Gulf moisture support, RH values are expected to remain above
critical thresholds. There is a chance for thunderstorms tomorrow
afternoon across the forecast region with a few becoming severe.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Scattered
shower and thunderstorms with wetting rains can be expected
Thursday night into Friday night, with the greatest coverage
during the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will be
returning to near or slightly above normal levels for this period.

For Saturday through Monday, the airmass will dry and warm, with
much above normal temperatures expected. Humidity values are also
expected to decrease with minimums dropping into the teens toward
Sunday or Monday in the lower elevations. Overall, winds should
conform to fairly normal diurnal wind patterns, with only
slightly enhanced westerly breezes in the mountains and high
valleys each afternoon. Critical fire weather conditions are not
expected through this period.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
