.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Monday...
Relative humidities should see decent recovery overnight tonight
before very warm temperatures and dry conditions tomorrow drop
them into the low teens across the forecast area. There will be
elevated fire weather conditions across our high mountain valleys
in the afternoon, where gusty winds to 25 - 30 mph will be
possible. Smoke dispersal will be good to excellent across the
forecast area Monday afternoon.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...
Persistent hot and dry conditions to begin the week will increase
fire weather concerns. As it stands, fuels are widely still above
critical status, but the warm and dry weekend has shown a drying
trend in 10-hr fuels. Depending on how much drying occurs with hot
temperatures on Monday, fuels may reach critical status fairly
quickly. As of now, Tuesday and Wednesday look to be the days with
the highest fire weather concerns. With the current fuel status
being considered, critical fire weather concerns look to be
patchy, but most likely to include northern Weld County and the
high mountain valleys. Fuels will continue to be monitored and and
fire headlines will largely be dependent on just how quickly
things dry out.
A moisture return and cooler temperatures is expected by mid-
week, mainly for the northern and western periphery of the
forecast area, with the southern portion remaining dry. Good to

each afternoon.
