.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...Widespread showers and
thunderstorms are expected to continue through this evening, with
lightning, large hail, and gusty erratic winds up to 60 mph (with
the strongest storms) possible. There could also be localized
heavy rain, particularly across the plains. Scattered showers are
expected Thursday, mainly for South Park and southern Front Range
Mountains. There could be elevated fire weather conditions for the
northern mountains due to relative humidity values in the low 20s
and wind gusts up to 20 mph at times.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...A warming
trend is expected by Friday and into next week, with temperatures
expected to get up to the 90s each day across the plains. There
will be daily chances of showers and thunderstorms Friday and
through the weekend in the afternoon hours. Drier conditions
expected on Monday.
