.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Wednesday...Scattered high-
based convection is expected this afternoon, with generally low
chances of wetting rain. Minimum humidity this afternoon should
remain between about 15-25% this afternoon. Monsoon moisture is
expected to arrive into the high country on Wednesday with
widespread showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, eventually
spreading into the lower elevations by late afternoon or evening.
Temperatures will also be a little cooler, leading to minimum
humidity of around 20-30%.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...The return
of the monsoon will be the focus of this period, with afternoon
showers and thunderstorms likely each afternoon. The best chance
of rain will come Thursday and Friday, with slowly diminishing
moisture this weekend. Cooler temperatures, increased moisture,
and weak surface winds will limit fire danger over the several
days.
