.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
Isolated showers and thunderstorms possible this afternoon across
the high terrain and adjacent plains. Lightning and strong outflow
winds will be the main threat, however a low-end threat for hail
exists as well with the strongest storms over the plains. Heavy
rain is also possible, however fast storm motions will keep
flooding concerns at bay. One more night of excellent humidity
recoveries expected Friday night.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...
Over the weekend, drier and warmer conditions will return, with
forecasted high temperatures near 100 F for much of the plains
Sunday and Monday. Relative humidity values are expected to drop
below 20% by Sunday and Monday. However, winds should be
relatively light, less than 20-25 mph. Rain chances return by
Tuesday, along with cooler temperatures.
