.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Sunday...
Moisture will remain high across the area today, as scattered to
numerous showers and thunderstorms move through again this
afternoon and evening. Heavy rainfall may lead to localized flash
flooding, particularly for the areas that saw heavy rainfall over
the last several days and burn scars. Minimum RHs will remain
above 30% with below normal temperatures. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms are expected again tomorrow afternoon and evening,
with the highest risk along and near the Palmer Divide. Conditions
will start to dry out in the high valleys, with minimum RHs
dropping into the 20% to 30% range.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday night through Thursday...
Warmer and drier conditions are expected for Monday and Tuesday
with only very isolated showers. Minimum RHs will drop into the
upper teens to low 20s for portions of the plains for Tuesday.
With the recent beneficial rainfall, no elevated fire weather
conditions are expected for the next week.
