.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Tuesday...
Scattered severe thunderstorms will remain possible across the
plains through the evening tonight, with RH values expected to
remain above critical thresholds across the lower elevations.
Localized heavy rainfall will be possible under any passing
thunderstorm. Lower RH values are expected across the mountain
valleys (low to mid teens), but with greenup well underway and
fuels not marked critical at this time, do not expect critical
fire weather conditions to develop.
Similar conditions are expected on Tuesday with far less coverage
of severe storms. Localized heavy rainfall will be possible once
again, with low-level moisture remaining elevated outside of the
high mountain valleys where RH is expected to drop into the low to
mid-teens once again.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday night through Saturday...
Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible again on Wednesday with a
warming and drying trend expected from Thursday into the weekend.
Increasing elevated fire weather conditions may develop as the
warmer and drier weather persists into the weekend, though with
greenup well underway and multiple chances for precip through mid-
week, any developing fire weather concerns will likely remain
limited and localized.
