.DISCUSSION...Tonight through Saturday...
Mountain snow and rain showers across the plains will continue
this afternoon and overnight tonight. Total snow accumulations
expected to be 2-6 inches, with highest amounts confined to the
northern mountains (and highest peaks). Strong winds across the
plains (40-60 mph) will continue this afternoon before gradually
decreasing Tuesday morning. However, still expect gusts of 20-30
mph throughout the day Tuesday. A weak system will bring another
round of mountain snow on Wednesday. However, snowfall amounts
expected to be light, with highest amounts of snowfall confined to
the I-70 mountain corridor and south. The plains should remain
dry, aside from light rain showers around the Palmer Divide area.
After Wednesday, a drying trend will take place, with seasonal
temperatures and minimum RH values generally above 30% each day.
