.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Monday... With today kicking off another
warming trend as another ridge builds over the western US, there
will be a few areas of elevated fire weather conditions possible
tomorrow afternoon from northern Weld County, stretching south to
areas east of Denver International Airport due to relative
humidities dropping into the mid teens. High-based afternoon
convection is expected to bring some light moisture as well as
lightning and strong outflow winds to these locations into the
evening.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday... A hot, but
active weather pattern will be in place for the long term period,
as afternoon showers and storms are expected each day. There will
be some patchy elevated fire weather conditions on Tuesday for
portions of Weld and Washington Counties on the plains, and North
and South Park, where RH values will once again be in the mid-
teens due to persistent hot temperatures. By Wednesday, a passing
system will bring increased moisture and cooler temperatures to
help keep critical fire weather conditions from developing through
the end of the long term. Another warming trend will begin Friday
with 90 degree temperatures in store for the plains through at
least next weekend.
