.DISCUSSION...Tonight through Wednesday...
Showers and storms are expected to continue into the evening
tonight, with some of the hi-res guidance hinting at a few areas
capable of seeing up to 2 inches of rainfall that would bring a
limited threat of flash flood potential to some of our most
sensitive burn scars this evening (Alexander Mountain, Cameron
Peak, and East Troublesome). Showers should move east overnight
and diminish late before more widespread coverage returns Saturday
afternoon as a trough presses eastward across the region. The
active weather will continue through Sunday that will help keep
cooler temperatures in place through the weekend, even seeing some
light snow at our highest elevations. Warmer and drier conditions
are expected for the first half of next week, with no critical
fire weather conditions anticipated.
