.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Monday...
Much cooler and more moist weather is settling over the forecast
area with scattered to numerous showers and a few thunderstorms.
Wetting rain (and accumulating mountain and higher foothills snow)
can be expected through Monday. The most significant precipitation
will occur northwest of I-76 on the plains and north of I-70 in
the mountains.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...
Fire weather conditions will remain tranquil through Wednesday
with scattered showers and a couple storms each day, along with
cool temperatures and higher humidity. Temperatures will
gradually warm Thursday and Friday with increasing breezes, but
no significant fire concerns are expected with humidity levels
holding well above critical thresholds.
