.DISCUSSION...Tonight through Sunday...Quiet weather will persist
through Wednesday night under high pressure aloft. Winds will be
mostly light, which will lead to poor smoke dispersal across the
lower elevations. Where there is a slight increase in the winds
(mainly over the higher elevations), smoke dispersal is expected
to be fair or better.
A storm system will track across the Central and Southern Rockies
Thursday and Friday, likely bringing rain with snow above 6000-7000
feet MSL. There`s a considerable amount of uncertainty regarding the
storm track and intensity. The best chance for decent rainfall
and/or snow at this time looks to be across southern and eastern
parts of Colorado.
Drier weather will then return late Friday and for the weekend, with
temperatures rebounding to slightly above normal levels for the
weekend. Under high pressure overhead, light winds are expected with
mostly poor smoke dispersal.
