.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...
This afternoon, critical fire weather conditions will occur parts
of the urban corridor, plains, Palmer Divide, South Park, and
Grand/Summit counties. The combination of low humidities between 10-
16 percent and southwest winds produce wind gusts up to 35 mph could
lead to rapid fire spread if a fire were to start. Humidities
recover tonight between 45-65 percent.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...
A couple of cold front will bring cooler temperatures to the area
Tuesday and Wednesday with some increase in humidity as well. By
Wednesday there will be a chance of thunderstorms in the mountains.
For Thursday and Friday, temperatures will begin to warm again with
readings above normal by Friday. There will be a good chance of
afternoon and evening thunderstorms both days as well.
