.DISCUSSION...Rest of today through Monday...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will gradually end from
northwest to southeast across the forecast area this evening.
Temperatures will be near normal with light winds and good
humidity recovery overnight.
Drier and warmer weather will start to build Monday, with high
temperatures at or just above normal levels. Humidity readings
will drop into the upper teens along the I-25 Corridor and over
high mountain valleys, with 20+ percent minimums elsewhere. Winds
will follow fairly normal and light diurnal patterns.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...
Warm and dry conditions will last into Tuesday, although a late
day front is expected to push across the plains. Westerly breezes
will increase during the afternoon in the mountains, while the
front will bring an increase in northerly winds to the plains late
in the day. No critical fire weather conditions are expected.
Wednesday will see temperatures settle back to normal or slightly
below normal. Storm coverage and intensity is expected to pick up
as humidity readings briefly improve.
Then drier and warmer weather returns for Thursday and Friday,
continuing into the weekend ahead. Winds will remain light as an
upper level ridge builds across the Central Rockies.
