.DISCUSSION...Today through Wednesday...
Numerous thunderstorms expected this afternoon and evening over the
plains, with locally heavy rain and relatively widespread wetting rains.
Coverage will be more isolated over the urban corridor and mountains.
Isolated to scattered showers and storms will continue into Sunday
and perhaps Monday, favoring southern portions of the forecast area.
Temperatures will trend cooler Sunday into Monday, before warming
again starting Tuesday, although isolated to scattered daily showers
and thunderstorms will likely continue, favoring the mountains. Light
winds (outside of thunderstorm outflows) and elevated humidity levels
will keep fire weather concerns limited through the period.
