.DISCUSSION...
Current conditions near the fire show light (under 8-10 mph) and
generally variable winds. Expect that trend to continue through
the morning, before light upslope winds get established by
1100-1300 local time. With a relatively saturated environment, RH
values should only drop to around 40%.
In the afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected
to develop near the fire and should produce wetting rain. Best
chance will be closer to 1400-1800 local time. LIghting and gusty
erratic outflow winds will be the main concern. However, small
hail is all possible. After the storms exit the area early this
evening, there may be a period of east/southeast winds of 10-20
mph due to outflow boundaries. However, winds should decrease and
gradually turn south/southwest. Overnight humidity recoveries
should be around 70%.
For Thursday, expect generally light (under 10-15 mph) winds
throughout the day, with RH dropping to around 30%. Showers and
thunderstorms are possible, however coverage will be more limited.
Lighting and gusty outflow winds will be the main threat.
