.DISCUSSION... Current observations around the wildfire show light
winds (5-10 mph) generally from the west/southwest, with
occasionally gusts up to 20 mph at higher elevations. Current
temperature is 78 degrees, with relative humidity values between
20-25%. Expect winds to vary from the west to south through the
afternoon, with speeds generally under 15 mph. However, there is
a 20-30% chance of virga showers/thunderstorms this afternoon,
mainly between 1-7 PM, that could produce erratic wind gusts up
to 30-40 mph. wetting rain is very unlikely, given how dry it is.
Overnight, winds will likely remain light and variable (generally
under 10 mph) with fair humidity recoveries up to 65%. For
Saturday, expect winds to generally be from the west/southwest,
with sustained wind speeds generally under 10-15 mph. Minimum
relative humidity values will reach to 20%. There is a better
chance for showers/thunderstorms in the early afternoon, with
lightning and gusty erratic winds as the main threat. Wetting rain
is unlikely.
