.DISCUSSION... Today is expected to be warm and dry before much
cooler temperatures and increasing moisture arrive on Saturday.
Winds are expected to hold onto a southwesterly component with
gusts gradually increasing through the morning. This location
looks to be sheltered from the stronger gusts (30-40mph) that are
expected just to the west at the higher elevations, but 20-25mph
gusts will be possible through the afternoon today. Relative
humidity is expected to remain around 30% this afternoon. Smoke
dispersal is forecast to be Good to Very Good between 1000-1700 as
mixing heights increase to around 6,500 feet during peak heating.
Winds should see a steady decrease after around 1800 and Poor
smoke dispersal setting in around the same time this evening.
Westerly winds are expected to be light overnight with relative
humidity increasing to 70-75%. No precipitation is expected today
and only light precipitation is forecast over the next few days
with a passing low pressure system moving through this weekend.
