.DISCUSSION...
There is currently a rain shower around 10 miles to the
south/southeast of this location. As of 3:30pm, this shower is not
expected to impact the area and is not producing lightning. Chances
of lightning will remain low (20%) through the afternoon.
Additional showers will have the potential to develop near the
area for much of the evening and through the overnight period.
Rain chances will range from 25% to 50%, with the highest chances
for rain and potential lightning over the next few hours. Winds
will be gusty this afternoon and early evening. Winds will generally
be from the west around 10 to 15mph, with occasional gusts around
20 to 30mph. The exception to this will be erratic wind shifts
and gusts from nearby showers as they pass near the area. Showers
could produce gusts around 30 to 40mph this afternoon and early
evening. Relative humidity values are in the low 20s this
afternoon, but should gradually increase starting around 6pm.
Winds will start to weaken around 8pm, with winds shifting more
northeasterly, then becoming more light and variable overnight. RHs
will recover to around 82% overnight.
Winds will start to increase from the east around 9am tomorrow,
with speeds around 10 to 15mph and gusts around 20mph through the
early afternoon. Surface winds will start to turn more southerly
starting around 4pm. Minimum RHs will be higher tomorrow, with a
RHs staying above 45% all afternoon. Rain chances will start to
increase again in the early afternoon tomorrow. There will be
potential for a few isolated thunderstorms around the area with
this activity.
