.DISCUSSION...
Winds at this time are approximated to be near 5 mph and generally
from the southeast or upslope and up-valley direction. Expect such
conditions to continue through the afternoon, with a transition to
light downslope winds early to mid-evening (1800-2000).
Moderately unstable conditions are producing isolated, weak showers
over the higher terrain, mainly east of the Continental Divide and
due west of the Never Summer Mountains into Jackson County. The chance
of any shower or thunderstorm impacts to the fire location remain
near 25% this afternoon. Brief gustier winds up to 20 mph can`t be
ruled out if a thunderstorm develops in the vicinity. Any such activity
would move in from the S/SW.
Current humidity values near 60% will climb rapidly overnight, with
excellent recovery above 90% anticipated. The low temperature tonight
will be close to the freezing mark. Tuesday, expect prevailing west and
southwest winds through the day, with a slight increase in speeds in the
afternoon relative to today. There will be a small chance (less than 20%)
of a weak shower or thunderstorm after midday.
