.DISCUSSION...Current radar shows several thunderstorms within
about 10 to 15 miles of the SAR location. The strongest storm is
located near Winter Park, with additional cells to the northwest
and northeast. Radar also suggests that light rain is currently
falling at the location. The closest lightning strike was
approximately 4 miles to the northwest. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms are likely through the rest of the afternoon and
evening hours. There may be a brief break between now and
approximately 3PM, but additional storms will be in the vicinity
through the next several hours. At any given hour, there is a 70%
chance of rain and a 60% chance of lightning within 8 miles of the
SAR location. Current temperatures are in the mid 50s and are not
expected to change significantly this afternoon. Winds outside of
thunderstorms are generally light out of the south or southwest,
with variable and gusty winds near storms.
