.DISCUSSION...

An expansive deck of stratus clouds will remain in place east of the
Continental Divide through the morning, with cloud tops generally near
10,000 ft MSL. Otherwise, expect largely clear sky conditions at mid
and upper-levels, including any terrain near and above timberline.

Mid-level clouds will increase heading into the afternoon, with a
20-35% chance of light snow showers, more favored past 1400 hours.
Cloud cover and any shower activity will steadily decline this
evening and overnight. Snow accumulations, if any, should remain at
or below a half inch.

For wind conditions, expect winds from the west for all locations
and elevations. Exposed ridgetop sites will see sustained 20-ft
winds 13-19 mph this morning, with gusts 25 to 30 mph. However,
expect considerable sheltering on any east-facing slopes protected
by higher terrain to the west, with speeds closer to 7 to 12 mph
sustained, and gusts near 15 mph. Winds will weaken slightly in the
afternoon and evening, likely remaining out of the west.

Current temperatures are estimated to be in the mid to upper 20`s,
and today`s high temperature will be close to freezing. Low
temperatures tonight will be in the low to mid 20`s.
