.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms are currently around and over the area.
The most recent lightning strike is with a storm around 5 to 8
miles to the north/northeast of Grizzly Peak, this storm is mainly
stationary and slowly weakening. There is some additional
shower/storm development about 8 miles to the south of Grizzly
Peak, that could produce lightning soon. This potential storm
should move to the northwest, moving just south of the area.
Additional thunderstorm development will be possible (50% chance)
near the area over the next 2 hours. Lightning, gusty winds, brief
heavy rainfall, and small hail could accompany any storm that
develops over the area. Rain chances will gradually decrease after
sunset. Winds will generally stay out of the east around 10 mph,
with occasional gusts around 20mph. However, winds could quickly
shift and gust around 30 to 40mph, with the passage of any nearby
storm.
