.DISCUSSION...Light and variable winds early this morning should
quickly transition to the east-southeast by the mid-morning hours,
and remain out of that direction through the day. Chances for rain
and snow showers will gradually increase through the day, with
better chances for accumulating snow after sunset. At least a few
hours of fair smoke dispersal is forecast today. Light snow
showers will continue tonight into most of Friday. However, recent
trends are starting to reduce precipitation/snow totals in the
area. The chance of wetting precipitation is roughly 40-50
percent, and total snow accumulation is expected to be an inch or
two. Regardless, winds will remain light tomorrow with cooler
temperatures and poor smoke dispersal.
