.DISCUSSION... Limited observations in the surrounding area show
winds have a southerly component behind some recently passing
showers. There will be around a 40% chance for showers until
around 2300 with around a 15%-20% chance they have some lightning
associated with them through 2000. Any passing showers or storms
will be capable of producing gusty outflow winds up to around 40
mph. If any do produce lightning, expect potential for some small
hail, as well. Temperatures are currently in the low 50s and
expected to drop into the low 40s for the overnight hours.
Additionally, the higher elevations in the surrounding area are
expected to approach the freezing mark overnight, which could lead
to precipitation falling as snow at the highest elevations. No
accumulations are expected. Expect winds to hold onto a southerly
component for the evening before turning westerly for the
overnight hours. Wind gusts should generally remain below 20-25
mph, with potential for a few hours of 30-35 mph gusts between
0400-0600.
