.DISCUSSION...
Light winds will be the norm until showers and thunderstorms move
across the area. South to southwest is probably the preferred
direction over the fire, and winds should be 5-10 mph until
afternoon. The best chance of thunderstorms will be between 12-4
PM, with gusty and shifting winds 30-40 mph with the strongest
showers and storms. The gusty winds should be short lived (10-20
minutes at a time) Lightning, small hail and brief moderate rain
may occur with any storms that move over the fire. RH will be
around 30 percent, but as showers and thunderstorms impact the
area, RH will come up to at least 50%. Rain chances (40-60%)
continue from 4-8 PM, though amounts should be light after the
initial round of convection and lightning chances are lower.
Tonight, RH will recover to 70 percent, and west winds 6-12 mph
should occur all night long.
