.DISCUSSION...
Winds are light and variable (< 5 mph)at the moment turning east but
remaining light (10 mph) by 0800. Winds will continue to shift a bit
to the southeast early in the afternoon and become breezy (10-15
mph). Current satellite shows a few low clouds with bases
~3,000ft AGL but we expect cloud cover to decrease over the next
couple of hours.
The main concern today will be the chance for scattered showers and
storms in the surrounding mountains starting at 1200, although the
better chance for a thunderstorm over the burn area will be between
1500 and 1900. Erratic wind gusts up to 35 mph will be possible with
shower activity. Additional isolated showers will be possible in the
overnight hours, with coverage decreasing by midnight. Relative
humidities will stay in the 50%-70% range through the forecast
period. Winds in the early morning hours of Wednesday will be from
the west at 10 mph, with sporadic gusts to 20 mph.
