This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon
across the higher elevations and adjacent plains. Lightning and
wind gusts up to 40 mph will be the main threat, but brief heavy
rain and small hail are also possible. High temperatures will
reach the mid to upper 80s across most of the plains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon
across the northeast plains ahead of an approaching storm system.
Large hail and gusty winds would be possible, in addition to
lightning and briefly heavy rainfall.

The storm system is expected to bring widespread rain to the area
late Monday into Tuesday, with snow limited to areas above 10
thousand feet. The rain combined with snowmelt will cause elevated
levels on mountain streams. Cooler weather with scattered showers
is expected for Wednesday and Thursday, with a gradual warming and
drying trend into next weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight, but
reports of gusty winds or hail will be appreciated.
