...HEAT ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

A shallow cold front has progressed through the Denver metro this
morning, bringing slightly cooler temperatures to the area. High
temperatures will likely still reach the upper 80s to low 90s, but
the risk of heat related illnesses has diminished.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Temperatures up to 99 expected, with the highest
  temperatures in southern Lincoln county.

* WHERE...Castle Rock, Limon, and Southern Lincoln County.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
