A patch of stratus near 3000 ft AGL had developed around KDEN and
KAPA, which could last until 14Z-15Z given weak upslope
component in place behind last night`s cold front. Then daytime
heating will burn off any lingering stratus. NE-E winds (nearly
VRB at KBJC and KAPA) are expected to trend more easterly
15Z-18Z.
Another round of virga showers will be possible this afternoon,
likely starting 21Z-22Z. Although conditions look slightly less
favorable than Friday, a few microbursts with gusty winds up to
30 kts cannot be ruled out, particularly near KAPA and KBJC so we
included a PROB30 at both of those TAF sites. Low enough threat
(20%) at KDEN to keep it out of the TAF for now. Otherwise, winds
will gradually turn more SE-S 00Z-06Z but could be gusty to ~20
kts due to outflows from greater probability of showers occurring
on the Palmer Divide. Winds eventually return to fairly normal
S-SW by 05Z-06Z Sunday. Any stratus after 06Z Sunday is expected
to stay over the eastern CO plains, so 10% chance of less at KDEN.

VFR conditions are expected at KALS, KCOS, and KPUB through 24
hours. A front will pass through KCOS and KPUB this morning,
bringing gusts 25-35 knots that will last through the morning. Winds
behind the front turn ESE, with intermittent gusts this afternoon.
Winds lighten overnight, with some mid level clouds moving in and
out throughout this forecast period. There is a very low-end chance
for some showers later this afternoon in the San Luis Valley, but as
of now no impacts are expected at KALS, so did not include mention
in this round of TAFs.

the TAF period. VFR conditions will prevail with isolated cloud
cover above 10 kft or so. Winds will follow a diurnally typical
direction pattern, shifting to the NW around 18-20Z Saturday, and
back to SE around 02-04Z Sunday. Southerly winds will then likely
increase through Sunday morning ahead of an approaching system.
REST OF UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING...Isolated showers and
thunderstorms will be possible for southern and eastern Utah
terminals Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, VFR conditions are expected
to prevail with a mix of mid to upper level clouds filtering
through. Winds will tend to follow a diurnally typical pattern, with
south to southwesterly winds beginning to increase near sunrise

VFR conditions should continue for a vast majority of the area
through 12Z Sunday. The exception may be in vicinity of KCPR and
KCOD this morning but cloud cover to the north has been largely
low VFR instead of MVFR so we prevailed BKN040 with less than a
40 percent chance of MVFR ceilings this morning. A gusty wind
will develop at terminals West of the Continental Divide after
18Z with gusts to over 20 knots possible at all terminals. Wind
should decrease after sunset as the atmosphere decouples. There
is around a 15 percent chance of a shower in the western
mountain ranges after 04Z Sunday. Showers should stay away from
TAF sites but could bring occasional mountain obscurations.

Mostly VFR conditions expected over the next 24 hours. The
exception to this would be if any precipitation develops at or
moves over TAF sites, which could briefly bring CIGs down or VIS
down. Also, some low clouds may move into KSNY/KAIA tomorrow
morning, but probs are too low to include at this time. Windy
all sites with gusts between 20-35 knots, locally higher near
any precipitation and could be erratic. Wind direction will be
from the S to W for Wyoming terminals, and from SE for Nebraska
terminals. CIGs expected at generally mid levels today, once
again lower if precipitation moves over sites, otherwise at SCT
through most of the TAF period.

For the KLBF terminal: Skies will scatter out by late morning
with scattered ceilings around 25000 FT AGL. In the meantime,
ceilings will be around 15000 FT AGL. Skies will remain
scattered into the evening hours, before becoming broken after
06z Sunday. For the KVTN terminal: Scattered cloud cover is
expected through this evening with ceilings around 25000 FT AGL.
Overnight, broken ceilings around 25000 will develop and persist
through 12z Sunday.

GLD: Low confidence in ceilings for much of the TAF period.
Current and recent runs of the HRRR and RAP continue to suggest
a potential for IFR ceilings to develop in the wake of a cold
frontal passage this morning, and that MVFR ceilings could
persist through the remainder of the morning (possibly into the
afternoon). -If- MVFR ceilings develop and persist through much
of the day, improvement during the late afternoon would likely
be short-lived, with ceilings quickly deteriorating to IFR
after sunset. Breezy (15-20 G 25 KT) northeasterly winds will
prevail through mid-morning, decreasing to 10-15 knots during
the late morning to early afternoon, veering to the E during the
late afternoon and ESE or SE during the evening.

ESE or SE during the evening.

light and variable winds will increase out of the north by
mid/late morning, becoming sustained in the 12-15 kt range
gusting to 20-25 kts as a cold front moves through southwest KS.
After sunset, winds will relax back to light and variable
through the end of the period.

VFR conditions prevail at all sites for the next 24 hours. Though
thunderstorm chances have increase this afternoon and evening,
this activity is expected to remain east of all the TAF sites.
There is still a low (<10%) chance KGUY or KAMA could be
impacted, but mentions of thunder will only be included if the
likelihood for storms to expand westward increases.
Otherwise, breezy winds should overtake all sites today. The wind
direction at KAMA should remain southerly and eventually back
southeasterly, while KDHT and KGUY should have winds out of the
northeast for most of the day. Wind speed will die down once again
after sunset and remain light for the rest of the 12Z TAF period.

A sharp northeast wind shift will enter northeast NM by 8AM then
shift south to the I-40 corridor by 12PM. Gusts of 15-25KT will
occur in the wake of this boundary. Isolated SHRA/TS will develop
over the high terrain and over eastern NM between 1PM and 4PM
then move east with strong and erratic wind gusts >35KT, brief
rain, and some lightning. The surface boundary over northeast NM
may move southwest again tonight toward the central mt chain with
patchy low cigs possible over far northeast NM.
